What is “Design Thinking”? “Design” makes us imagine things associated with superficial arts such as fashion design or graphic design. However, design thinking is an approach similar to the art of “designing” to solve issues in the context. Contrarily to the past, the attitude of consumers has drastically changed from passive to active; a few decades ago, consumers’ biggest reason for purchasing a product was merely a trend because it was newly-released. Now, consumers are more skeptical about new goods, and rather choose products based on one’s specific needs. The needs of consumers keep changing and at a faster pace, as such businesses need to catch up with this pace by designing products that will suit the needs of the consumer.
In this workshop, we will have several participatory activities; presentations on “design thinking”, to put in practice our “design thinking” skills.
